Research Analyst – Telco, Media & Technology

About the role

We are seeking a Research Analyst to cover the Telco, Media & Technology sector within the Australian listed market. The analyst will deliver stock recommendations based on thorough analysis, financial models, and industry insights, and present findings to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive, differentiated research on the Telco, Media & Technology sector.
• Develop financial models and valuation databases for all stocks under primary coverage.
• Respond promptly to market news, earnings releases, and corporate developments.
• Maintain and develop key client relationships, communicating ideas to maximise exposure.
• Collect data and compile timely, accurate responses to client requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree or higher in a business-related discipline, preferably finance or accounting.
• 5–15 years of experience as a research analyst or in related fields such as funds management, investment banking, accounting, or industry.
• Strong analytical abilities and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
