Research Analyst – Industrials

About the role

We are seeking a Research Analyst to cover the Industrials sector on the Australian listed market. The role involves delivering stock coverage across building materials, steel, packaging, chemicals and contractors, and providing actionable recommendations to fund managers and clients. You will work closely with institutional sales, sales traders and the broader research team to ensure high‑quality insights.

Key responsibilities

• Produce proactive, differentiated research on the Industrials sector.
• Build and maintain financial models and valuation databases for primary coverage stocks.
• Respond promptly to market news, earnings releases and corporate developments.
• Develop and nurture key client relationships and communicate ideas with sales teams.
• Collect data and compile accurate answers for client requests.
• Contribute ideas for team development and support colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business‑related discipline, preferably finance or accounting.
• 5–15 years of experience as a research analyst, associate, or in related fields such as funds management, investment banking, accounting or industry.
• Strong analytical ability, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills in English.
