Remote Structural Engineer

About the role

Our client is a Queensland‑based consultancy specializing in building remediation and structural rectification across residential, commercial, and strata properties. They are seeking a Remote Structural Engineer to provide technical, documentation, project coordination, and compliance support to site‑based teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review structural drawings, technical documents, and project specifications.
• Prepare engineering reports and project documentation.
• Provide remote support to engineers, superintendents, and site teams.
• Assist with project coordination, document control, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure work aligns with relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and timely delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of structural engineering experience, ideally in remediation/rectification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote/site teams.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in ETABS or similar software.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards.
• Knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC).
