Remedial Massage Therapist - Homecare

About the role

LifeCare Homecare, part of the APM Group, is growing its Homecare team and is looking for a Remedial Massage Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary community allied health team. You will provide remedial massage to clients in their own homes, mostly older adults and adults living with a disability, helping them improve mobility, reduce discomfort and promote independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients' musculoskeletal concerns and set treatment goals together
• Develop individualised treatment plans and deliver evidence-based remedial massage
• Support clients to improve mobility, reduce discomfort and take part in daily activities
• Educate clients on self-management, posture and movement patterns
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes
• Collaborate with Care Managers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals
• Identify clinical red flags and refer to other health professionals when needed

Required profile

• Qualification in Remedial Massage and/or Myotherapy
• Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check after a successful application
• Willingness to have an annual flu vaccination

Required skills

• CPR certification
• Fully insured vehicle
