Religious Education Coordinator

About the role

The Executive Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications for a Religious Education Coordinator at St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Moss Vale, NSW, commencing 28 January 2027. The role shares responsibility for developing the Catholic life of the school, leading its vision, mission and strategic priorities, and contributing to school management. It carries delegated responsibility for coordinating and supervising teaching and learning in Religious Education.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise teaching and learning in Religious Education.
• Share responsibility for the development of the Catholic life of the school and its vision, mission and strategic priorities.
• Contribute to the management of the school.
• Take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese of Wollongong.

Required profile

• Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E) under the Diocese of Wollongong accreditation policy, or a commitment to obtain it within five years.
• NESA accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.
• Working with Children clearance, as the role is child-related.
• Effective educator who gives witness to the faith, builds a data-informed learning culture, develops staff through professional learning and feedback, leads change and improvement, and builds partnerships with students, families, the local church and the wider community.
