Relationship Manager – Business & Private Banking (SME)

About the role

The Relationship Manager in the Business & Private Bank will be responsible for managing a portfolio of diversified wholesale customers in Woodville North. You will drive portfolio growth through new customer acquisition, cross‑selling and referrals while delivering tailored banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act in the best interest of customers with a customer‑centric approach.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of each client’s business and financial needs.
• Provide appropriate banking solutions and collaborate with product partners and specialist teams to structure and execute deals.
• Build and nurture external networks, focusing on origination and the “circle of influence”.
• Manage credit risk across the portfolio and exercise relationship credit approval discretion.
• Drive new‑to‑bank business and grow existing relationships.
• Coach and develop an Assistant Manager reporting directly to you.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with wholesale customers.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of SME and corporate banking products.
• Experience in structuring and negotiating complex deals.
• Ability to work collaboratively across internal stakeholders.
