Rehabilitation Consultant – Reg Psychology or Rehab Counselling

About the role

IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider, is recruiting a Rehabilitation Consultant in Liverpool, NSW. The role suits psychology or rehabilitation counselling professionals and offers flexibility, autonomy and the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team. It welcomes new graduates and early-career professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants
• Deliver occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, aiming for sustainable return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes
• Partner with employers and employees to deliver injury prevention and workplace education programs
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, insurers and healthcare professionals
• Conduct clinical and vocational assessments: initial assessments, workplace assessments, functional capacity assessments, Activity Daily Assessments (ADL) and vocational assessments
• Identify barriers and design practical solutions to support recovery and return to work

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling
• General or provisional registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC
• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not essential
• Current NSW driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
