Rehabilitation Consultant - Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist

About the role

MedHealth, a work and wellness provider, is looking for an Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals as a Rehabilitation Consultant. The role helps injured employees regain independence and return to work, with flexible working options in the community, from home and in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, identify return-to-work (RTW) barriers and design, implement and monitor programs that help injured employees return to work
• Carry out assessments including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional and ergonomic assessments, and equipment assessments
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners and employers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties
• Develop strategies to progress files and meet RTW benchmarks with minimum case costs

Required profile

• Australian recognised degree qualification and full accreditation in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy
• Willingness to travel; a current vehicle and driver's licence is required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Determination to provide a high level of customer service, punctuality and effective time management
