Rehabilitation Consultant - Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist

About the role

IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider within the MedHealth network, is seeking a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist to join its Canberra team. The role offers the flexibility and autonomy to structure your day while guiding clients recovering from workplace injury or illness through their rehabilitation journey, supporting their return to health, work and everyday life.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, helping them achieve sustainable recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
• Manage a caseload with the support of Rehabilitation Assistants, who help with administrative tasks.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers to share clinical updates and align rehabilitation goals.
• Work across schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare and the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports with findings, recommendations and clinical reasoning.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Full AHPRA registration or full ESSA EP accreditation, or eligibility to obtain it after graduation.
• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded but not essential; new graduates are welcome.
• Compassion, kindness and empathy.
• Current driver's licence and access to a car with comprehensive insurance.
