Rehabilitation Consultant (Physio, EP or OT)

About the role

Altius Group, which offers rehabilitation services including workplace, employee and disability services, is hiring a Rehabilitation Consultant in Launceston. The role supports injured people to regain independence, improve their quality of life and rejoin the community and the workforce. It is a hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop personalised rehabilitation plans using a whole-of-person approach.
• Identify return-to-work pathways aligned with likely recovery milestones.
• Perform assessments and help claimants return to work, drawing on clinical experience and injury management knowledge.
• Work with clients, their families, insurers, employers and other health professionals to assess physical, psychological and social factors.
• Present case information to stakeholders and give credible recommendations and solutions.

Required profile

• Tertiary-level qualification and full registration as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist (AHPRA), Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist (AHPRA), or Social Worker (AASW).
• Previous experience with structured assessments is desired; a passion for helping injured people find their strengths and a new career direction is also valued.
• Experience with complex case management and return-to-life or return-to-work outcomes is very beneficial.
• Driver's licence and own vehicle are essential.
