Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist

About the role

WorkFocus, part of the MedHealth Group, is looking for an Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Osteopath or Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals as a Rehabilitation Consultant. The role helps injured employees return to work by assessing barriers and designing and monitoring return-to-work programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, identify return-to-work (RTW) barriers and design, implement and monitor programs that help injured employees return to the workforce
• Carry out assessments including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional and ergonomic assessments, and equipment assessments
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners and employers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties
• Develop strategies to progress files and meet RTW benchmarks with minimum case costs

Required profile

• Australian recognised degree qualification and full accreditation in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Chiropractic, Osteopathy or Physiotherapy
• Willingness to travel; a current vehicle and driver's licence are required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Determination to provide a high level of customer service, punctuality and effective time management
