Rehabilitation Consultant - Mental Health Nurse

About the role

Altius, a rehabilitation services provider founded in 2001, is hiring a Rehabilitation Consultant (Mental Health Nurse) to work from its Canberra office. You will identify and address the physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors affecting a worker's ability to return to work, and provide practical strategies to address them. The position sits within Rehabilitation Services by Altius.

Key responsibilities

• Complete return-to-work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme.
• Provide holistic support to help restore each person's highest level of functional performance.
• Deliver vocational counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training and upskilling.
• Collaborate and liaise with individuals, employers, medical professionals and other allied health practitioners.

Required profile

• Associate or full ASORC membership as Rehabilitation Counsellor, or AHPRA registration as a Provisional or Registered Psychologist.
• At least 1-2 years of experience supporting mental health.
• Relevant nursing qualification.
• Current driver's licence and access to your own transport.
