Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

IPAR is expanding its occupational rehabilitation team in Hobart and is looking for a qualified professional with a background in physiotherapy, exercise physiology or osteopathy. As a Rehabilitation Consultant you will support injured workers, employers and health professionals to achieve safe and sustainable return‑to‑work outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload of clients, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants for administrative tasks.
• Apply clinical expertise to develop and implement injury‑prevention and workplace education programs.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied‑health professionals across workers‑compensation, third‑party, life‑insurance, veteran and employer‑funded schemes.
• Provide case management, including assessment, treatment planning and progress monitoring.
• Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure coordinated care and successful return‑to‑work.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy.
• Experience working in occupational rehabilitation or a related health setting.
• Strong understanding of workers‑compensation and related insurance schemes.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
