Bailey Nelson is looking for a Casual Optical Assistant to join the Hobart team. As an Optical Assistant you’ll be at the heart of the customer experience, helping people find perfect frames, supporting eyecare needs, and making every visit unforgettable.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting frames that suit their style and vision needs.
• Support eyecare requirements, including lens recommendations and fittings.
• Deliver a memorable in‑store experience that encourages repeat visits.

Required profile

• Customer‑first mindset with retail or hospitality experience.
• Willingness to learn optical basics; prior optical experience is a plus.
• Positive, energetic attitude and a can‑do approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Team player who builds good relationships.
• Results‑driven with a focus on achieving service goals.
• Flexible availability across weekdays and weekends, including peak periods.
