Rehabilitation Consultant – Allied Health (First Nations Identified Role)

About the role

This First Nations Identified Role is open to qualified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander allied health professionals. You will provide culturally safe, holistic rehabilitation services to help clients return to meaningful work and daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise specialist knowledge to assist people in returning to meaningful occupations.
• Evaluate treatment and rehabilitation needs of workers with work‑related or non‑work‑related injuries or illnesses.
• Identify future employment or training options by reviewing transferable skills, qualifications and interests.
• Conduct assessments such as functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
• Manage cases to plan, coordinate and monitor client progress toward return‑to‑work goals.

Required profile

• Teritiary qualifications in an allied health discipline (e.g., OT, physiotherapy, psychology, rehab counselling, social work).
• Registration with the relevant professional body.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks.

Required skills

• Specialist clinical knowledge in your allied health area.
• Ability to conduct functional and ergonomic assessments.
• Case management and coordination skills.
