Registered Nurse - Oncology & Infusion

About the role

Cabrini Health's Day Oncology and Infusion Centre offers patients access to chemotherapy, immunotherapy and infusion services. It is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with clinical and management leadership skills to work on its busy Infusion Treatment Ward in Malvern, in a full-time or part-time position. The nurse acts as a resource, helps the Nurse Manager manage the Infusion Centre, takes part in quality improvement and leads peers while aligning with Cabrini's Mission and Values.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in partnership with patients and the multidisciplinary team
• Provide person-centred care that respects patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality
• Support high-quality outcomes in line with Cabrini's Mission and Values
• Act as a resource on the ward, assist the Nurse Manager and contribute to quality improvement

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Relevant nursing qualifications and a Victorian Working with Children Check
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar clinical role, including infusion therapy
• Willingness to train in cytotoxic administration (preferred)

Required skills

• Proficiency in cannulation, PICC and port access
• Experience in cytotoxic administration preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centred, team-oriented approach
