Registered Nurse - Nurse Bank

About the role

Calvary Mater Newcastle is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its Nurse Bank. You will provide safe, effective and appropriate care in a patient-focused environment, working across the hospital in diverse clinical settings such as Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology. Nurse Bank staff are rostered shifts equivalent to their contracted hours and may be allocated to various wards, offering the chance to develop expertise in a diverse public hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective and appropriate nursing care in a patient-focused environment
• Work across the hospital in settings such as Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology
• Be rostered shifts equivalent to contracted hours and be allocated to various wards

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
• At least 6 months of recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised way during periods of high demand
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• Completion of pre-employment checks (references, work rights, criminal history, WWCC)
• Evidence of immunisation as required for a Category A role
