About the role
The Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU) at the new K Block campus of the RHH is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (and/or Registered Midwives) to join a dynamic, family‑focused team. You will provide safe, high‑quality nursing care to newborns, infants and children in a modern, single‑room environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clinically appropriate nursing care in accordance with NMBA standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patients, families and health professionals.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety and quality standards.
Required profile
- Current registration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA).
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a shift‑based, multidisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to professional development and family‑integrated care models.
Required skills
- Knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and legal requirements.
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement and evidence‑based practice.
What we offer
- Fixed‑term full‑time or part‑time positions (up to 76 hrs/fortnight) for up to 12 months.
- Salary $80,524 – $109,175 AUD per year (pro‑rated) plus 12 % superannuation.
