Registered Nurse / Midwife – Early Parenting Centre

About the role

Mercy Health's Early Parenting Centre (EPC) in Whittlesea is looking for a Registered Nurse or Midwife. The centre is open Monday to Friday and closed on weekends, offering both day stay and overnight programs. It works with families to strengthen parenting capacity and family functioning for children up to 4 years of age. The position is permanent part-time, 48 hours per fortnight, paid according to the award.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, client-focused care to patients, their families and carers using a holistic approach.
• Work directly with families to improve parenting capacity and family functioning.
• Be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing a highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers.

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care.
• Current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse or midwife.
• Proof of a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check, or in the process of obtaining them.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders.

• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management.
• Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
