Registered Nurse - Midland Nursing Home

About the role

St Jude's Health Care Group, a provider of aged care, allied health and disability services established in 1982, is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its Midland Nursing Home. The nurse supports and cares for residents, focusing on helping them maintain their independence as they age through timely clinical support and care. Candidates must be open to working night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical services, care planning and review and assessment of all aspects of clinical care
• Apply a customer service focus to all clinical care and service delivery
• Provide safe, effective clinical care based on evidence-based practice and within scope of practice
• Provide leadership, supervision and coaching to Enrolled Nurses and Assistant in Nursing staff at the facility

Required profile

• Significant experience in residential aged care facilities
• Understanding of the needs of people living in or moving into residential aged care
• Familiarity with the Aged Care Act and aged care quality standards
• Experience managing challenging behaviour, particularly in people living with dementia
• Ability to lead the facility, including conflict resolution, supervision and continuous improvement
