Registered Nurse - Medical Imaging

About the role

Qscan Radiology is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time position in its Redcliffe team. The nurse works in a modern, patient-focused medical imaging environment alongside Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Sonographers and administrative staff, developing specialist skills in radiology and procedural nursing within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Patient assessment and preparation
• IV cannulation and contrast administration
• Monitoring patients before, during and after procedures
• Providing reassurance and education to patients
• Contributing to patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, infection control and clinical governance standards

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with at least 2-3 years' experience
• Experience in day procedures and/or GP practice
• Previous experience in radiology, acute care, emergency, surgical, oncology or day procedures nursing is advantageous
• Strong commitment to patient safety, infection prevention and control and clinical governance
• Excellent teamwork, organisation, attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Sound clinical judgement and effective emergency response skills
• Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development
• Experience in IV cannulation, contrast administration, patient monitoring and clinical preparation is highly desirable
