Registered Nurse - Infusion (Casual)

About the role

Cabrini's Day Oncology and Infusion Centre offers patients a range of cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and specialised infusion therapies. It is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its ward in a casual capacity, focused on infusion services. The role suits nurses with existing infusion experience who are confident in cannulation, CVAD management and have completed chemotherapy training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other prescribed infusion treatments according to clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Perform peripheral cannulation and manage vascular access devices, including PICCs and implanted ports.
• Monitor patients during treatment, recognise and respond to potential complications and provide clinical support.
• Provide compassionate, person-centred care respecting patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Nursing qualifications and a Victorian Working with Children Check.
• At least two years' experience in a similar clinical setting, including infusion therapy.
• Completed chemotherapy training and demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration.
• Ability to cannulate and manage vascular access devices, including PICCs and implanted ports.
