Registered Nurse - Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplant

About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Sydney is recruiting a Registered Nurse (Year 2 - 8) for its Xavier 9 South unit, a state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility in Darlinghurst. The unit provides inpatient care for patients with blood disorders and blood cancers, including anaemia, blood clotting and bleeding disorders, leukaemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma, and runs a world-class Bone Marrow and Blood Stem Cell Transplantation service. The nurse works in a highly specialised team delivering care to patients undergoing complex haematological treatments, including autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, on a 24/7 rotating roster.

Required profile

• Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Evidence of integrating theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, with critical thinking and analysis in daily practice.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritise competing workloads in a complex environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or an Australia visa granting the necessary work rights; visa sponsorship is not available.
