Registered Nurse Grade 2 - Endoscopy

About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is looking for a motivated Registered Nurse with experience in endoscopic nursing to join its Endoscopy team in Fitzroy. The position is permanent and part time (24 hours per week). The successful candidate will show strong critical thinking, advanced patient assessment and clinical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a high standard of nursing care for patients
• Provide technical assistance during diagnostic endoscopic procedures
• Maintain timely and accurate nursing records
• Ensure effective admission and discharge processes for patients
• Liaise with patients, their families, medical and ancillary staff as required
• Meet and understand the requirements of HICMR/GESA and AS5369

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing degree with AHPRA registration
• Previous experience in an Endoscopy Suite is essential
• Knowledge and understanding of HICMR/GESA and AS5369 standards
• Current national criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one
• Willingness to complete mandatory immunisations, including the flu vaccine, and to comply with the Victorian government COVID-19 vaccination direction
