Registered Nurse - General Medical / Neuroscience Ward

About the role

Epworth Geelong is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its General Medical / Neuroscience Ward, a permanent position within a 15-bed Neurosciences Ward and an 8-bed Coronary Care Unit. The role sits in a supportive, patient-focused team and offers the chance to consolidate acute nursing skills and upskill in the Transition Speciality Program (TSP) Cardiac Care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the neurosciences and cardiac units
• Work with multidisciplinary team members to deliver the best clinical outcomes and patient experience
• Use a reflective, critical-thinking and evidence-based approach to patient care
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the development and growth of the service

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration
• Relevant acute neuroscience experience
• Interest in neurosciences and a patient-centred approach
• Safety-conscious, able to speak up for safety
• Excellent communication
• Postgraduate certificate in neuroscience (desirable)

• Annual salary range of AUD $85,732-$107,669 plus superannuation and entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and experience (prorated for part-time)
