Registered Nurse - Emergency (Regional QLD)

About the role

MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for ongoing contract work in a busy regional emergency setting in Central Queensland. The nurse uses their emergency skills in a clinical environment where they work alongside the emergency team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients presenting to emergency
• Provide resuscitation and IV therapies within your competencies
• Respond to complex presentations with the emergency team

Required profile

• Current relevant AHPRA registration and Australian work rights, plus required placement compliance
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills
• ICU ventilator and neonatal experience

Required skills

• Emergency, ALS and PALS
• Triage and resuscitation
• IV cannulation

What we offer

• $73 per hour basic rate for ordinary rostered hours, up to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime
• Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, weekends and public holidays, with applicable penalties

• On-call allowances and eligible overtime meal, laundry and broken shift allowances
• Referral and contract completion bonuses, and a qualification allowance of +3.5% where applicable
• Compliance and onboarding support, plus a dedicated consultant throughout the placement
