Registered Nurse - Dalmeny

About the role

IRT Dalmeny is looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centred clinical care that improves the health, wellbeing and quality of life of its residents. The role sits within a collaborative team and offers night duty shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays, fortnightly (8 hours per week), with the option to take on extra shifts during the week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents
• Assess residents' clinical needs and develop, implement and review individualised care plans
• Coordinate and take part in multidisciplinary case conferences
• Complete admission, routine and ongoing clinical assessments
• Administer medications, treatments and wound care in line with best practice and legislative requirements
• Monitor residents' health, identify changes in condition and document care accurately
• Lead infection prevention and control practices, including outbreak management
• Support, mentor and supervise care staff
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families and the wider care team

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
• Knowledge of clinical issues of ageing, including dementia-related disorders and management of challenging behaviours
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in a residential care home environment (desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and a passion for supporting older Australians

• Sign-on bonus of $6,000 for full-time roles (38 hours) and $4,000 for part-time roles (24 hours+) in the Eurobodalla region
• Hourly base rate between $46.60 and $59.21, plus shift penalties depending on experience
