Registered Nurse – Complex Care

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Registered Nurse to lead client care at our group home in Asquith, NSW. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for clients with complex health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor long‑term preventative health measures for ten clients with complex needs.
• Perform daily clinical tasks such as intermuscular injections, complex wound care, colostomy/urostomy/ileostomy care, catheter care, medication administration via PEG, tracheostomy care and nebuliser application.
• Support the House Manager in supervising Disability Support Practitioners on client health plans.
• Collaborate with other nurses to develop preventative health initiatives for rollout across other homes.
• Set up and maintain regular GP clinics.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing degree and current AHPRA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to person‑centred care and understanding of disability rights.
• Current driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Intermuscular injection techniques.
• Complex wound care.
• Colostomy, urostomy, ileostomy and catheter management.
• Medication administration via percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG).
• Tracheostomy care.
• Nebuliser application.
