About the role
The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Community Nursing team across New Norfolk, Ouse (Central Highlands) and Oatlands (Midlands). You will provide home‑based and clinic care, delivering essential services such as wound management, catheter care and palliative support in a rural setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct home visits and clinic appointments for patients requiring community nursing services.
- Provide wound care, catheter management and palliative care in partnership with patients, families and multidisciplinary health professionals.
- Collaborate with the Subacute, Aged Care and Community Care stream to achieve quality health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board standards.
Required profile
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement and evidence‑based practice.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple rural sites.

- Competitive salary ranging from $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (pro‑rata).
