Registered Nurse – Clinical Coach (Medical Imaging)

About the role

The Royal Hobart Hospital’s Department of Medical Imaging is seeking a Registered Nurse – Clinical Coach to guide and develop less‑experienced nursing staff across all imaging modalities. Working under the direction of the NUM DMI, you will play a pivotal role in orientation, precepting and clinical teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision, coaching and assessment for novice nurses and those new to medical imaging.
• Deliver orientation, precepting and goal‑setting programmes for nursing novices.
• Collaborate with education and clinical teams to achieve departmental learning and development objectives.
• Support the NUM DMI in achieving learning and development goals across the department.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and adherence to relevant standards.
• Demonstrated ability to apply nursing/midwifery principles, evidence‑based practice and legal requirements in a clinical setting.
• Proven experience using clinical coaching principles to develop novice staff.
• Strong clinical leadership and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Permanent full‑time position (76 hours per fortnight) with shift work.
• Salary range $102,439 – $109,175 per annum (pro‑rata) plus 12% superannuation.
