Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Centre (Cath Lab)

About the role

The Cardiovascular Centre at St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join its cardiovascular team. This is a full-time or part-time permanent position on a rotating Monday to Friday roster, including pro rata on-call responsibilities. Experience in the specialty is required.

Key responsibilities

• Scrubbing, scouting and monitoring patients during cardiac and vascular procedures
• Admitting, recovering and discharging patients in the admissions and recovery area
• Working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating well and managing acute situations in a rapidly changing clinical environment
• Opportunity to undertake a postgraduate certificate in Interventional Cardiology

Required profile

• Experience in the area/specialty
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Criminal record and/or child protection checks will be part of the selection process
• Compliance with the staff health screening immunisation policy, including mandatory vaccinations such as the flu shot, and generally being fully vaccinated against COVID-19
