Registered Nurse – Bunbury Donor Centre (Permanent & Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Bunbury Donor Centre of Lifeblood on a permanent full‑time basis and a one‑year fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on providing a safe, welcoming experience for blood donors while ensuring high‑quality clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and interview potential donors to confirm eligibility.
• Provide clinical oversight and guide team members during blood collection.
• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
• Set up and operate blood collection machines and related equipment.
• Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
• Manage adverse donor reactions and provide post‑donation care.
• Monitor donors after donation and assist with re‑booking appointments.

Required profile

• Completed Bachelor of Nursing.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to lift 9–22.7 kg and stand, walk, bend for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work a rotating fortnightly roster, Monday‑Friday, including early mornings and afternoons.
• Strong customer‑facing attitude and commitment to donor safety.

What we offer

• Hourly rate $41.83‑$50 plus penalties, superannuation and salary packaging.
• 76 hours per fortnight roster with no weekend work.
