Registered Nurse – Bunbury Donor Centre (Permanent & Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join the Bunbury Donor Centre as a Registered Nurse, delivering safe and compassionate blood donation services. The position is available as a permanent full‑time role and a one‑year fixed‑term contract, working a 76‑hour fortnightly roster from Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility.
• Provide clinical oversight and guide team members during blood collection.
• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
• Set up and operate blood collection machines and equipment.
• Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma and platelets.
• Manage adverse donor reactions and provide post‑donation care.
• Monitor donors after donation and arrange re‑booking.

Required profile

• Completed Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to lift 9–22.7 kg occasionally and stand, walk, bend for extended periods.
• Willingness to work varied shifts on a rotating fortnightly roster.
• Strong customer‑facing attitude and commitment to donor safety.
