Registered Nurse – Aged Care

About the role

Respect Aged Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents across its Australian facilities. Reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager, the RN will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of care and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive resident histories and participate in admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation that reflects care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans.
• Provide direct clinical care, including personal hygiene, massage therapy, pain management, and support during GP rounds.
• Administer medications, ensuring correct ordering, storage, and documentation in line with organisational policies.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and Aged Care Standards.
• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Understanding of government standards for aged‑care delivery and the Commonwealth Aged Care Funding Instrument.
• Strong clinical and documentation skills, and familiarity with the aged‑care accreditation process.
