Registered Midwife

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba is looking for an experienced Registered Midwife to join its maternity team. You will support women and their families through every stage of pregnancy and birth, providing compassionate, family-centred care within a supportive, collaborative and highly experienced multidisciplinary team. The hospital is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs, with 197 beds and services including maternity, medical, surgical, paediatric, cardiac, rehabilitation and emergency care.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife; dual registration as Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse is highly regarded.
• Ability to work permanently on a part-time basis, ideally 36 hours per week, with flexible rostering options.
• Willingness to be a positive team member who supports others and solves problems efficiently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of professional, ethical and legal requirements.
• Current clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability.
