Registered Architect

About the role

Quality Design Solutions (QDS) is seeking a Registered Architect with strong commercial and industrial experience to join our Perth studio. The role offers the chance to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to detailed documentation and site delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop constructible details for concrete tilt‑panel and other commercial structural systems.
• Prepare and coordinate technical documentation, working drawings and specifications using ArchiCAD.
• Liaise with town planners, clients, builders and external consultants to secure regulatory approvals across WA council jurisdictions.
• Manage consultant coordination, including engineering, surveying, energy and drainage disciplines.
• Communicate design intent clearly to clients and internal teams throughout project phases.

Required profile

• Registered Architect with at least 5 years of recent ArchiCAD experience.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in commercial and industrial projects.
• Based in Perth, WA and able to work on‑site.
• Proven ability to manage time, priorities and delegated tasks with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• ArchiCAD (advanced proficiency)
• Twinmotion (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC/BCA) and Australian Standards
• Familiarity with the WA Planning Framework
• Experience with tilt‑up concrete design and technical detailing
