Regional Manager – Dementia Support Services

About the role

The Regional Manager will lead the Dementia Support Australia (DSA) service, ensuring it meets client needs and key performance indicators. This position offers professional growth within a new initiative supporting people transitioning from hospital to home or residential care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership aligned with HammondCare’s Mission and Mission In Action, overseeing clinical supervision, governance and behaviour management.
• Ensure administrative, financial, risk, quality and reporting goals are met through a team‑based approach.
• Engage with state government, aged care and acute care stakeholders to facilitate smooth service delivery and problem solving.
• Support Team Leaders in stakeholder engagement at local aged care and hospital sites.
• Assist the National Program Manager and Clinical Lead in developing strategic state plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Motivate and manage the service delivery team to ensure alignment with mission and service quality.
• Lead utilisation of data management, reporting systems and ICT platforms to enhance service delivery.

Required profile

• Commitment to HammondCare’s Christian Mission and Mission In Action.
• Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health or a health‑related degree; eligibility for AHPRA registration.
• Extensive experience supporting older people with dementia, focusing on psycho‑social case management.
• Senior‑level experience in multi‑disciplinary or multi‑site environments, including budgeting and systems thinking.
• Strong team leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder communication skills.
• Willingness to travel intra‑ and interstate regularly.

Required skills
