About the role
The Regional Capability Trainer will work in workshop environments across the western region, providing hands‑on coaching to apprentices and junior technicians. The role combines technical troubleshooting on engine products with structured training and capability tracking.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver practical coaching on hand tools, power tools, torque tools and precision measurement equipment.
- Guide apprentices through engine disassembly, inspection, re‑assembly and fault identification.
- Use the standardised capability tracker to monitor progress and tailor support for each learner.
- Collaborate with Service Managers, Supervisors and Technicians to align training with branch needs.
- Travel to regional sites as required (typically <10% of time) to provide on‑site coaching.
Required profile
- Advanced knowledge of engine products and related systems (fuel, air, after‑treatment, etc.).
- Experience coaching less‑experienced technicians in a workshop setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt coaching methods to individual learners.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.
