Receptionist – Customer‑Focused Call Centre

About the role

Join RAC’s Joondalup Contact Centre as a Receptionist and be the first point of contact for our members. You will create positive first impressions by handling inbound calls, understanding member needs, and directing them to the appropriate RAC team.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming member calls in a welcoming, professional, and efficient manner.
• Accurately identify member needs and route calls to the most appropriate RAC department.
• Build rapport and create positive experiences from the first interaction.
• Identify, acknowledge, and escalate member feedback or complaints through the correct channels.
• Support service‑level targets by managing calls efficiently and assisting with queue‑busting activities.
• Complete data entry and general administrative tasks accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Previous customer‑service experience, ideally in a phone‑based or contact‑centre environment.
• Strong communication and active‑listening skills.
• Friendly, professional, and confident telephone manner.
• Ability to follow processes and call scripts while delivering personalised service.
• Problem‑solving aptitude and attention to detail.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, team‑focused attitude.
• Confidence using computer systems and completing administrative tasks accurately.
