Reception Services Officer

About the role
The Reception Services Officer is the first point of contact for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Victoria. The role ensures a professional and welcoming experience for clients, the public, staff and service providers through telephone and face‑to‑face interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality telephone, concierge and reception services, greeting all visitors and callers in a courteous manner.
- Identify the purpose of each enquiry, assess the required service and deliver an appropriate response promptly.
- Maintain effective working relationships and liaise professionally with staff at all levels.
- Uphold diversity and inclusion standards while responding to the needs of a diverse client base.
Required profile
- Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid work permit/visa.
- Willingness to undergo pre‑employment screening, including a national police check and misconduct screening.
- Ability to produce a CV and a cover letter (max 2 pages) addressing the Key Selection Criteria.
