Receivals Manager

About the role

Metcash Food Service and Convenience is hiring a full-time Receivals Manager for Superior Foods in Palmyra. You will take ownership of the inbound warehouse operation, reporting to the Operations Manager and leading about 15 employees so that stock is received, verified, recorded and put away accurately, safely and efficiently. It is a hands-on leadership role in a busy food-service distribution centre.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily receivals across supplier deliveries, transfers and other incoming inventory
• Coordinate delivery schedules, dock activity, labour and material-handling equipment
• Check stock accurately against purchase orders, dockets and manifests
• Resolve and escalate shortages, overages, damaged goods and supplier non-conformances
• Oversee system processing and timely putaway of received products
• Maintain inventory integrity through correct storage, stock rotation and traceability
• Ensure refrigerated, frozen and ambient stock is handled according to requirements
• Work with inventory, procurement, replenishment, transport and warehouse teams to improve performance

Required profile

• Experience leading receivals, inbound operations or a similar warehouse function
• Hands-on leadership style, able to organise daily work and develop a team
• Attention to detail on quantities, product codes, batches and expiry dates
• Understanding of food-safety, quality and workplace health and safety requirements
• Confidence managing discrepancies, non-conforming stock and escalations
• Effective communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams
