Ramp Agent

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Ramp Agent to join its Sydney Domestic Airport team. In this permanent part‑time position you will work on the airport tarmac handling baggage and cargo, supporting aircraft turn‑around and ensuring smooth ground operations.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload aircraft baggage and cargo efficiently, handling items up to 35 kg.
• Transfer luggage to and from aircraft safely, using sorting equipment and manual handling techniques.
• Operate in all weather conditions and confined spaces while maintaining safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to manage baggage flow for departing and arriving flights.
• Assist with aircraft push‑back and other ground‑handling tasks as required.

Required profile

• Full availability across a 7‑day roster, including early mornings, late shifts and weekends.
• Good physical fitness for repetitive lifting of up to 32 kg.
• Basic to intermediate computer literacy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with unlimited work rights.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
