Quarry Operator Afternoon Shift

About the role

Based at Byford Quarry in the Perth Metro area, this full‑time afternoon shift starts at 3:30 pm and runs for 10+ hours. You will operate mobile plant and crushing equipment safely while supporting hard‑rock processing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the crushing plant and associated machinery efficiently.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist with plant set‑up, calibration, and shutdown procedures.
• Operate mobile plant equipment such as loaders, articulated haul trucks and skid steers.
• Perform general labour and maintenance tasks around the quarry.

Required profile

• Prior experience in fixed‑plant process operations, mobile crushing, screening or mineral processing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive attitude toward plant maintenance.
• Competence in operating mobile plant equipment (loaders, excavators, dump trucks).
• Positive, can‑do attitude aligned with the existing team.
