Quarry Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quarry Manager to oversee all aspects of quarry operations. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant extraction and processing of raw materials while meeting production targets and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily quarry activities including drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing and screening.
• Develop and implement operational plans, budgets and production schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop site employees, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Monitor plant, equipment and infrastructure performance and coordinate maintenance.
• Manage quarry resources, reserves, equipment utilisation and inventory levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, suppliers and local stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years’ experience in quarry, mining or heavy industrial operations.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of quarrying techniques, extraction processes, crushing and screening.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and environmental compliance.
• Proven experience managing budgets, operational plans and site resources.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to work outdoors.
