Quality Manager - Rail Products

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance and control systems for Wabtec’s Transit and Components businesses across Australia and New Zealand. The role ensures that all processes and products meet Wabtec standards, customer specifications and regulatory requirements, while acting as the primary quality interface with our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Transit and Components business.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, customer and contractual quality requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve product and process quality issues.
• Develop and run internal and supplier quality performance programmes, including supplier qualification, audits and risk assessments.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and 8D problem‑solving, drive corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.
• Conduct quality risk assessments for products, services, processes and projects.
• Manage customer feedback on quality, review performance with customers and build strong relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading quality assurance and control in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to work with internal teams, suppliers and customers on quality matters.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
