Quality Leader – Afternoon Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Leader to join our Marleston site on the afternoon shift. Reporting to the Quality Coordinator, you will work closely with manufacturing to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily release of finished goods using SAP.
• Drive investigations of quality and food‑safety issues in partnership with manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Support production through regular quality‑assurance activities aimed at reducing consumer complaints.
• Organise and lead process‑improvement initiatives and participate in continuous‑improvement projects.
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the site’s Quality Management System, including HACCP, GMP, document control and regulatory compliance.
• Issue corrective action requests (CARs) and Quality Notifications (QNs) in SAP and support root‑cause analysis.
• Manage the CAR and finished‑goods QN system, making decisions on product holds and releases.

Required profile

• Qualifications in Food Science, Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
• Previous experience in a technical role within the food, pharmaceutical or a similar industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
• Highly self‑motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.
