Quality Laboratory Technician – Day Shift

About the role

Join a global FMCG leader as a Quality Laboratory Technician on the day shift (Monday to Friday, 06:30 am‑02:30 pm) at the Smith's Snackfood site in Tingalpa. You will ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated and ready for use while supporting food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory systems and ensure compliance with GMP, food safety and quality standards.
• Perform testing, calibration, and safe chemical handling for product samples.
• Monitor and train the team on QA processes and testing techniques, providing retraining when needed.
• Analyse data, generate reports, and support audits and investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement through troubleshooting, projects and safety/environment initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Qualification in Science (Chemistry), Food Science or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude, mechanical reasoning and ability to work collaboratively.
• Self‑managed, initiative‑driven with good planning and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
