Quality Engineer - Data Centre Projects

About the role

Built is a privately owned construction company operating across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and is expanding its Quality team in NSW. It is looking for a Quality Engineer to support its NSW data centre project in Marsden Park, reporting to the Quality Manager and working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams to implement and maintain Built's Quality Management System.
• Carry out site-based, materials and critical hold point inspections so quality is built into the product and process.
• Coach and support Engineers and Supervisors to deliver effective inspections and strong quality outcomes.
• Drive quality risk management, non-conformance close-out and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct audits, identify opportunities for improvement and help project teams deliver work to the highest standard.

Required profile

• Experience in the building construction industry and a strong understanding of project delivery environments.
• Sound understanding of construction methodology and how quality is achieved on site.
• Confidence to inspect, identify issues and work collaboratively towards solutions.
• Attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
• Knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards and quality management principles.
• Willingness to learn and to coach and support project teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
• Experience with quality management platforms such as Aconex, Smartsheets or similar is beneficial.
