Quality Engineer – Benalla, Victoria

About the role

Join a global manufacturing organisation at its Benalla plant in regional Victoria. As a Quality Engineer you will safeguard product, process and supplier quality, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and meeting customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and oversee internal audits.
• Serve as the primary contact for customer support, warranty administration, and provide on‑site guidance for inspections and release checks.
• Investigate field failures, support customer issue resolution, and conduct root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Production and other leaders to align modifications with customer requirements.
• Execute internal and external audits, ensure adherence to quality standards, and manage close‑out actions.
• Lead ad‑hoc continuous‑improvement projects and prepare the operation for future customer needs.
• Manage supplier quality, develop strategic plans, and drive corrective actions for supplier issues.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Electrician or similar technical trade).
• Proven leadership experience in a technical or service‑oriented environment.
• Strong project‑management background supporting diverse technical projects.
• Intermediate IT proficiency with the ability to use data for decision‑making.
