Quality Engineer - Accounting Products

About the role

CORTO is a software company building AI-driven solutions for the legal industry, now scaling from 80 to 250+ employees. As a Quality Engineer you will join the Quality Engineering function within the Accounting group, supporting the brand-new accounting solutions and functionality. The team works on greenfield initiatives and evolving platforms, and you will work closely with Senior Quality Engineers, developers, Product Managers and DevOps engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute and maintain automated tests across web and API applications
• Contribute to existing test automation frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript and Python
• Perform functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing
• Test backend services and APIs, including requests, responses, integrations and data
• Investigate defects with developers and document defects, test coverage, risks and outcomes
• Contribute automated tests to CI/CD pipelines and help investigate test run failures
• Take part in code reviews, requirements refinement and technical discussions
• Support testing of AI-enabled features and share knowledge with colleagues

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in software testing across web applications and APIs
• Practical experience creating and maintaining automated tests
• Experience with functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing
• Good understanding of software testing principles, test design and defect management
• Ability to investigate failures and translate product requirements into test scenarios
• Willingness to learn and a genuine interest in product quality

Required skills

• At least one programming or scripting language, ideally TypeScript, JavaScript or Python
• Modern web or API automation tools and frameworks
• API testing, including HTTP requests, responses and status codes
• Git and modern software development workflows
• Some experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Nice to have: Playwright, automated API testing, non-functional testing, AWS, data-heavy accounting applications
